What are your shipping charges and how do you handle shipping?

We charge $15.00 shipping for any orders under $75.00. This covers 2-3 day express delivery (USPS mostly, but also UPS or FedEx at our choice) to most addresses in the mainland US to minimize the chance of your chocolate melting. This charge also includes special packaging with multiple layers of insulation, bubble wrap, or thick styrofoam type boxes and ice packs (in hot summer weather). Orders over $75.00 receive the same shipping times and packaging for free.

Do you offer local delivery and pickup?

Yes, we have local pickup and local delivery options. Twice a week (days and times vary), we make local deliveries up to 10 miles from our location in Idaho Falls. If you order and choose this option, it will take us a few days to deliver. Delivery charge is $10.00. FREE delivery to your home is included with purchase of $75.00 or more. Alternatively, you may select FREE pick up at our local shop anytime during business hours for any order amount, even less than $75.00.

Do you really make your own chocolate?

Yes! While some companies melt existing chocolate and add flavors to it, we make our chocolate from scratch. We buy the cocoa beans from around the world, roast them, crack them, and winnow them into 'nibs'. The nibs are combined with varying amounts of cocoa butter, milk, and sugar (or sugar alternative Allulose for sugar-free/keto chocolate varieties). Note: Our dark chocolate bars do not include milk.

Do most chocolatiers and chocolate shops make their own chocolate?

No. Actually, almost none of them do. Nearly all chocolate is made from beans roasted and refined by only a handful of large manufacturers. Chocolatiers, 'chocolate dippers,' and makers of chocolate products like clusters, pralines, etc., buy chocolate in bulk and re-melt it and then use it for their creations. Thor's Chocolate is committed to always producing our products from the bean to the bar with no shortcuts.

Can you tell me about your ingredients?

Cocoa beans: sourced sustainably from Belize, Uganda, Ghana, Ecuador, Haiti, Guatemala, and other tropical regions. Cocoa butter: mainly from Ecuador, ethically sourced. Sugar: regular table sugar from Idaho-grown sugar beets. Whole milk powder: from U.S. dairy farms for creamy texture. Whey protein powder: isolate or concentrate for keto-friendly chocolate. Whole cream powder: for sugar-free products. Fruit flavors: real freeze-dried fruits and natural concentrated extracts without artificial flavoring.

Are your ingredients non-GMO or organically certified?

Although some ingredients are, our focus is on producing the best-tasting chocolate at an affordable price. Beans are ethically and sustainably sourced and sometimes organic. Sugar and milk powder are sourced locally.

Delicious Milk Chocolate!!!!

This is my favorite milk chocolate bar I have ever had! I love that they have a percentage of cocoa labeled on the bars. It is so smooth and creamy, I love the high quality. This is easily my go-to whenever I need a little pick-me up. It is a crowd favorite whenever I bring it to family gatherings. It is so good by itself, or I have used it camping which leveled up my s'mores! Honestly you can never go wrong with the classic milk chocolate bar, highly recommend!

Best Milk Chocolate ever!!

This is the best chocolate bar I have ever had, hands down! I first sampled Thor’s Peruvian milk chocolate last summer at the Jackson Saturday Morning Farmer’s Market. The flavor is just…different!. Milk Chocolate, but next level! I originally purchased 6 bars and stored in the fridge. Now that they are gone, I’m not willing to wait until summer to get more. Just had 10 shipped and I’ll be enjoying these until July, when I return to Jackson😄

Okay, I have had the pleasure of trying most of Thor's chocolate. The Peru milk is by far my Milk chocolate bar! When he starts selling the variety with nuts in it, mmmmm, it's delicious.
